interesting people, special people

happy day today.
finally the end of n-week training. met a chinese professor with vietnamese name, who studies traditional chinese music, majoring in mongolian vocals, at a university in paris, where he had lived for 50 years there.
also had the chance to talk to the first year malaysians, small bunch but nice people. one of the girls quite nice, polite, feels nice to be around with type. i am guessing she will be very popular among the guys, given her personality, beauty and the lack of other 'alternatives' at hall. will be another interesting drama to watch.
i sometimes think what'll people think if you came to my uni.
"wow.. that cute girl, so bubbly and friendly. so pretty too. i want to know her" and if she is as active in sport in my hall, i can predict the making of a bruce hall legend. wonder if she'll be caught up with all the new found attention
then i wouldn't know what to do. but hope i could hold her hand and walk away. then heads will sway our way, with lips full of things to say.

Painted on a pristine white beach

The changing tides brings mighty waves
Yet their sound brings a peaceful escape
Back and forth they come to me
Washing me away with their tranquil calling

Though I stand and face the waves
I am but human beneath the mighty sky
Knowing you're like the steady trees supporting me
Makes life's everyday waves an enjoyable surf
